We are a 20-person architecture firm currently using QuickBooks and are evaluating  BQE Core for both accounting and project tracking.

Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has used BQE Core, particularly on:

    • Ease of implementation/training
    • Integration with QuickBooks or whether you fully replaced it
    • Overall functionality and reporting
    • Pros/Cons or things you wish you knew before switching

Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide!

    Ann-

We started with ArchiOffice, the predeceser to BQE Core.  They stopped supporting it as they ramped up Core.  We switched to Core and used it for several years and, though it is a powerful program, we had as many issues with it as we had benefits.  So many times we contacted support and were told "we'll need to escalate this problem"!  We now use Monograph which we find to be must more user friendly.  Feel free to contact me directly if you wish to discuss further.

What do you use with Monograph for accounting software and payroll? I went from QB Desktop to QB Online and would like to find something different as QBO has been a challenge to get it to function correctly and the helpline is pretty challenged

    Hi Eric-

Monograph does integrate with QB Online.  It works pretty seamlessly.  So we invoice out of monograph and integrate those into QB. Regarding QB Online: we subscribe to the paid support option and it has been well worth the cost.  They get to us fast and know what they are talking about....the ol' "you get what you pay for" adage is applicable here!

Hi all!  This one caught my eye.  We, too, began with ArchiOffice and had similar experiences as Eva.  However, we took the leap to CORE and found it ok.  However, there was a leadership change and our vocal concerns were heard and after a few online one-on-one sessions to discuss our needs and concerns, they implemented a major overhaul of CORE addressing a great deal if not all of our concerns, including implementing a more user friendly interface and an iPhone app.  We are much happier now and can readily see the metrics of the financial health of our practice and increased productivity and less frustration.  In fact, can't recall the last time I reached out about an issue.

As they say, your mileage may vary...

We are looking into Monograph and would love any input on any challenges that you have come across.  Sat for the demo at AIA 26 and was impressed, but very overwhelmed.

We are a small 4 person firm (with additional outside consultants) in Ventura County, CA. We are currently using a program developed locally called AIM. It has been great for time tracking (timing us as we work), invoicing and project management. It does not however connect up with QBO. We are just starting to look into switching platforms. We believe have narrowed our search down to Monogram and Factor AE. Monogram is very pretty visually, but requires manual timesheet entry and manual one way syncing to QBO. As we understand it, Factor AE allows time tracking and syncs with QBO both ways automatically. Didn't get a chance to dive into either one of them at AIA26. Like others on this string, would appreciate any input on experience with either one of these...much thanks...
