Short recipe-like intro (I promise):
It may sound trivial how researchers obsess over the meaning of words. Or how there seems to be endless debate on exactly how to put together a definition. It wasn't until I turned to the academic side of the force that I developed the desire to start every conversation with "what is your definition of resilience?" Research gave me giant enhancing lenses that help me see the breathing between words, through the body, overflowing meaning. There is so much variety, confluence, and dissonance in how people describe their vision! Learning to be fascinated by the small small things is a gift. [Albeit obfuscated by constant rush and fleeting attention spans] We tend to try to "find" meaning…But we are making meaning. That is why I thoroughly enjoy participating in collective forums for meaning-making (sometimes manifested as conferences).
Here are the deets:
I have put together something practical from that obsession: a spreadsheet of conferences where resilience is central to the conversation. It is annotated so you can tell at a glance whether a given event is relevant to your work. Alongside it, a Google Calendar you can subscribe to. These are living documents. If you know of something that belongs here, drop it in the comments.

Looking forward to being in conversation with you!
