Happy Friday all! Last month, AIA Colorado and ASLA CO/WY co-hosted an afternoon Resiliency Fair event to bring architects and landscape architects together on new challenges facing our professions. Our focus was on how drought and wildfire mitigation design strategies need to be collaborative efforts, especially with the adoption of Colorado's Wildfire Resiliency Code that has both architectural and site design requirements.
Not sure how many other components do co-hosted events like this but as Colorado gets hotter and dryer, it was great to connect with peers who have the same interest but a different perspective on what it means to their work.
