Registration Will Not Close
Registration will remain open throughout the competition, and teams may join at any time.
That said, we encourage you to register sooner rather than later to maximize your time with the materials and clarifications.
Open International Competition
This is an open international competition. Participation is NOT limited to:
- AIA members, or
- firms/teams based in the Middle East
Students, professionals, and practices from anywhere in the world are welcome to participate (subject to the published competition rules).
Why this competition
We are seeking bold, practical, and inspiring concept proposals that align with sustainable tourism, respect local ecology and culture, and can serve as a compelling vision to support investment and government engagement.
Prizes and opportunity
- First Prize: USD 40,000
- Additional award honoraria may be awarded to shortlisted entries at the jury’s discretion
- The winning firm may be considered for a future full design commission, contingent on project financing (separately between the Project Owner and the participant).
