Absolutely!
Love the HQ concept, it's basically a happiness thermometer for your team. The real question is: do we care enough to measure it? I enjoyed running pulse surveys asking folks to rate their current job happiness, like; "how likely are you to recommend working here?", a classic satisfaction index (numerically), and tracking turnover/absenteeism trends, because data helped us spot issues early.
Do these metrics matter? Heck yes. Happy staff stick around longer, engage harder, and deliver better, which shows up in both culture and profitability. For us, it's not about a fluffy smile score... it's strategic. A consistent, healthy HQ tells me our culture is strong, our people are growing and that longevity and profit follow.
In short: yes, we measure it (and tweak based on what we learn), and yes, it's absolutely relevant. Finally, a metric I'm genuinely rooting for!

Subject: How "Happy" is your staff? Firm culture and the Happines Quotient
The "Happiness Quotient" (HQ) refers to a measure of a person's overall level of happiness, satisfaction, and well-being. It can be a representation of how fulfilled and joyful a person feels in life, or a measure of the satisfaction they experience from their work.
With that...how happy is your staff and how are you measuring that? Do you feel this is relevant to your firm's culture? Profitability? Longevity?
