And last week was Housing Week!

Last week, The American Institute of Architects (AIA) advocacy team was in action for Housing Week - pushing Congress to strengthen programs like HOME, CDBG, and the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act. We architects don't just draw buildings; we design the backbone of healthy, resilient, thriving communities.
➡️ We endorsed bipartisan legislation like the FIREWALL Act, helping homeowners make their properties disaster-resistant.
➡️ We submitted FY26 housing funding letters to Capitol Hill, championing the architect's role in improving public health and safety.
➡️ We asked members to help save BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) funding during Earth Week - because resilience takes more than good intentions - it needs dollars and action.
➡️ We gathered the voices of hundreds of architect-leaders, reminding policymakers that we know what works - we just need the tools to get it done.
