    Hi all,

I wanted to share an upcoming AIASF program that may be of interest to anyone who wants to learn more about how San Francisco Public Works supports development, infrastructure, permitting, and project coordination.

Public Works: Accelerating Development with IDP
    Tuesday, June 9
    9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Pacific
Center for Architecture + Design, San Francisco
Online viewing option available through registration

The program will focus on San Francisco Public Works' Bureau of Infrastructure & Development Permitting, known as IDP, and how Public Works helps coordinate infrastructure, permitting, interagency review, project delivery, and acceptance of public improvements.

While the discussion will be San Francisco-specific, it may be useful for small firm practitioners interested in how public works agencies interface with architects, developers, contractors, consultants, and project teams, especially where projects affect the public right-of-way or require multi-agency coordination.

I have been helping organize the program through AIASF's Small Firms and Public Policy and Advocacy Knowledge Communities. I will provide brief opening remarks and help with the discussion, but the main presentation and Q&A will be led by San Francisco Public Works staff.
