We are exploring different technologies which enable the application of digital seals and signatures to PDF documents.  We have utilized BANJO (created by LineType Software) and have been happy with the versatility of this application which is far greater than the base pencil tool and digital signature technology embedded within ADOBE Acrobat.  Before proceeding, however, I'm curious if anyone else has suggestions on other applications/software plug-ins that can be used to apply secure seals/signatures.

I suggest you consider ARX CoSign. It's a simple, inexpensive program. You can use a typed or scanned signature. It works for Word, PDF, and other file tyes.  If you bind a series of sheets into one PDF, you can quickly flip through the set and sign each sheet. There is a free trial available.

I have color scanned seal and signature and then added it as a custom "stamp" in the Comment & Markup option of the Tools drop-down in Acrobat. It is remarkably easy and doesn't add much to the file size.
