I just became aware of a class action filed against the U.S. Green Building Council. It includes causes of action for fraud, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, false advertising, wire fraud, and unjust enrichment. The case is known as Gifford vs. U.S. Green Building Council and was filed on October 8, 2010 in the Southern District of New York.
I have attached a copy of an article from a Collins, Collins Muir + Stewart LLP Newsletter that includes the filling and a discussion of the matter.
It will be interesting to see how this develops.
