Would anyone have recommendations for a good database or have a system in place to manage marketing leads (e.g. keep track of emails sent, phone calls, keep miscellaneous notes, etc.)?

Not sure of the size of your firm or number of potential opportunities you want to track, but I had fairly good luck with a CRM package called ACT by Sage Software. You can get a single seat or have multiple users accessing the same contact and opportunity tracking information from a server. You can track opportunities, assign win potential, keep your calendar and emails attached to the contact. it's great for tracking conversations and correspondence. Hope that helps. ------------------------------------------- Gordon Rogers AIA Architectural Manager Kitchell CEM, Inc. Rocklin CA -------------------------------------------

Highrise software by 37Signals is very good, easy to use to keep track of info and conversations, prospects, to do tasks and potential projects (cases).  It is also very inexpensive - pay on monthly basis with a free version with limited data.  It is web based and available to all staff if you want from any browser.
They also have a project management companion called Basecamp which may be of use.

I just discovered another free website of Organization, called Action Method by Behance. It is aimed at Creatives. It is similar to a dashboard, not as open as Basecamp in the free version, and they have enhanced products to purchase depending on your needs.
