Women's Leadership Summit: Advancing Women in Leadership Positions
    September 23 - 24, 2011
    Kansas City, MO

The 2011 Women's Leadership Summit, a 2-day national conversation among the profession's top female practitioners, will explore topics in Leadership and Design.

The Summit will focus on supporting women in leadership by providing a forum to recognize, inform, and champion the work being created by women in architecture.

Leadership expert and Harvard GSD speaker Julie Benezet will open the Friday discourse with a highly interactive session focused on what drives people to lead, the fears that get in the way and strategies for working through those fears.

A large focus of the Design discussion will be on design in the media. Saturday's session will be held in the internationally-acclaimed Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Bloch Building, designed by Steven Holl. Keynote speaker Susan Szenasy, Editor in Chief of METROPOLIS, will present a 'Design Report' on the current pulse of the industry, highlighting the firms, individuals and trends that are breaking new ground in architecture. Susan will then facilitate a dialogue with a group of experts and journalists, including S. Claire Conroy, Editorial Director of Residential Architect magazine, discussing ways to share your message with a growing audience.

Strengthen your brand and your network. Elevate your exposure and your reach. And grow your legacy beyond your practice.
