Practice Management Member Conversations

For LEED NC 2009 SSc2. option 2, close proximity to 10 community services/businesses are required.  One of the optional ones is a bank.  I am working with a new project that will be seeking LEED Certification and that has 5 or 6 ATM's within the required distance.  I am thinking that it would reasonable to argue that these ATM's would qualify as a bank.  Have you ever tried this and to what success?  If not, what do you think of the idea?

It sounds very reasonable to consider an ATM as a bank to contribute 1 of the 10 required services to this credit, however, based on our experience, I do not think the GBCI will agree. My office does not have any specific precedent on this. A CIR might be the only way to confirm other than trying your luck in the review process. If I get some other insights, I will pass them along.
