Michael Strogoff makes several interesting points. I agree that this is an appropriate a la carte item, with limited audience. Regarding possible payment tiers for the Compensation Survey: In 2005 or 2006, a similar approach was taken up by the AIA Board regarding Contract Document software, in an effort to recognize the economics of small firms. The results were two reduced scope/reduced cost packages (the smallest for members only) ILO the unlimited single seat license. Administration of such a plan for the Compensation Survey, however, could be significant if each discounted request (for solo practitioners and 'small firms'; how about for an individual employee regardless of firm size?) were to go through a review process by AIA staff.
