The problem with the term "intern" is that there is no differentiation between a student and a graduate of a 4+ year specialized education. I think the term "intern" is appropriate for a student who is indeed completing an internship. An architect-in-training who has obtained a bachelor's or greater degree in the field of architecture should not be termed equally to students." Completely agreed. Once you are out of school it is a little ridiculous to be saddled with the term intern, since people just assume you're still a student. I would much prefer for us to be known as "Architects-in-Training". It actually describes what we're doing on the way to being licensed. -------------------------------------------
