Attend the AIA Convention Gallery, Education Session, and Reception

You are cordially invited to join award recipients and AIA Interfaith Forum on Religious Art and Architecture knowledge community (IFRAA) members at the AIA 2013 Convention to celebrate the 2013 award-winning projects. The AIA Convention will be held June 20-22, 2013 at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

On display June 20 – 22, 2013

All AIA Convention registrants can view the board gallery in the convention common space. Look for the directional signs on site to locate the gallery.

Education Session 

Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6pm – 7pm

All AIA Convention full registrants can attend education sessions throughout the convention. In this session, entitled "Religion, Art and Architecture" (#TH401), architects and artists will discuss requirements that determined form, approaches to sustainability, the architectural response to the role and requirements of music, and the integration of art. The session panelists include: Kai-Uwe Bergmann, AIA, of Bjarke Ingels Group in New York; Douglas Johnston, AIA, of William Rawn Associates, Architects, Inc. in Boston; Joan Sorrano. Seating is limited. Advanced session registration is encouraged.

Reception
Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 7pm – 8pm

All AIA Convention registrants are invited to network with other recipients, IFRAA leaders, and Faith & Forum magazine leaders at a reception (#EV219) immediately following the education session. Light refreshments will be served. Reception registration is free, but required, for all AIA convention registrants.
