Both an architect and an engineer, I pursue seamless multidisciplinary integration of my projects. This has allowed me to serve a variety of roles throughout my 20 years of professional practice, from wind-tunnel controls design engineer for NASA Glenn Research Center, to project architect for a downtown San Francisco mixed-use development, to preservation architect for the Cleveland Museum of Art.
I have successfully managed and led teams of architects, engineers, and consultants from project start up to completion for multi and single phased projects, with construction budgets ranging up to $470 million. My varied experience with all the phases of a project brings a valuable perspective to the architectural process.
I am a very hands-on project manager that enjoys wearing all hats: from helping on proposals (narratives, graphics, schedule, estimates), to interviewing for projects, to brainstorming with the client and team, produce design and construction documents, construction/implementation, to systems commissioning.
Value creation is never out of fashion and most clients appreciate the team that is able to provide it. I have worked in large and small teams in a variety of roles, where I have learned that process efficiency and good team work is what produces exceptional results. Repeat clients are my favorite clients as there is a learned trust that makes projects more enjoyable and efficient. Referrals from satisfied clients are the best compliment.
