Join the New York State AIA Chapter next Wednesday, March 19 at 12-1:30pm for an online professional development opportunity entitled "Social Change through Architecture and Art."
In this session, attendees will hear from leaders in architecture as they share their experiences with creating public events and displays that present design and architecture as platforms for raising awareness of critical issues to make real impact within their communities. Drawing on the success of several differently scaled public demonstrations, the presenters offer practical roadmaps for multi-stakeholder partnerships to create design-focused events that engage, delight, illuminate, and inspire.
Featured speakers include Joshua Zinder, AIA, LEED, AP, Managing Partner at Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design, LCC; Jessica Chang, AIA, Associate at Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects; Mark Lawrence, AIA, Principal & Co-founder at EL Studio; and Lauren Wilson, Senior Project Manager for The Trust for the National Mall.
