Hi Building Performace community,
AIA's commitment to the United Nations COP meetings is profound and ongoing. Our presence in Sharm el-Sheikh for COP27 (November 6-18, 2022) will be significant as we work alongside policymakers, industry leaders, financiers, scientists, and others to create actions that are planet-centered for the positive impact of every community around the world. AIA's message is focused on three points:
1. Communicating External Benefits and Long-Term Value of Design
2. Research and Investment
3. Building Energy Use Codes and Performance Standards
We need your help to illustrate our core messages with examples that illustrate the work of components, committees, AIA members, and our firms. Your stories, along with persuasive metrics articulate how architects are influential in creating solutions to this existential crisis. We are requesting the submission of projects that tell the story of our message. Selected projects will be used to develop talking points and briefs to be used in discussions with attendees at COP27.
