Dear Colleagues,
The non-profit Build Reuse is preparing a grant proposal to pilot the reuse of reclaimed lumber in commercial building projects. We are seeking one to two commercial projects in early design or pre-construction phases that are interested in incorporating reclaimed lumber at scale in 2026-2027.
This pilot will provide technical assistance, logistical support, and limited stipends to offset incremental costs (e.g., grading, storage, approvals). The goal is to demonstrate practical, replicable pathways for integrating reclaimed materials into commercial projects, with lessons shared nationally.
We are focusing on projects located in the Denver / Boulder region; then from Kansas City – St. Louis – Nashville – Atlanta – Raleigh – District of Columbia which follows major transport linkages.
