For those interested in bio-inspired design applied to the vexing challenge of data infrastructure:

Beth Rattner is a brilliant thinker and innovator. I happened to work with/near her years ago (she led the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute while I was working with William McDonough + Partners). She later was ED at Biomimicry Institute.

She is now with Endeavour, an org that is trying to rethink data infrastructure as generous assets. The data centers are coming, and this group wants to turn them into regenerative engines (re water, soil, food, etc.) so that communities will Benefit from them.

This is a talk she gave at the Explorers Club recently ...

Thanks for sharing this Kira!  Great presentation by Beth Rattner.  Amidst all the bad news surrounding the rapid expansion of data centers it was good to see people and companies like Endeavour bringing regenerative design solutions to the market that actually improve environmental, social, and economic conditions for communities.  We do a fair amount of mission critical work so this information is already giving us a new set of design solutions.
