As of this morning there are no permits. There are no signs of weatherproofing the remains of the East Wing even though it has begun just before winter. There is no indication that any of the history, paintings, or artifacts located within the East Wing were properly preserved.
Today, Luke Broadwater of the New York Times reported that Trump will demolish the entire East Wing and he reported that according to a "senior administration official", the demolition should be finished by this weekend.
How does one person get away with destroying property that does not belong to him without a major court shutting him down? There has got to be a party with standing to get an emergency injunction filed asap? Statements and Linkedin posts are meaningless.

Hi everyone:
I decided to start a new thread rather than respond to someone's post. We are working behind the scenes on a few responses that I will start to post here for everyone's benefit.
Following up on previous efforts (statement in August: https://www.aia.org/about-aia/press/aia-advocates-preservation-and-transparency-proposed-200-million-white-house).
Our Chief Advocacy Officer's response on Linkedin:

Link to our ongoing action alert:

More to come as we develop them and get them approved.
