Historic Resources Committee

The White House belongs to the American People, not Donald Trump.  He should not be allowed to demolish the East Wing of our American Heritage.   I realize that the SHPO under Section 104 of the Historic Preservation Act exempts the Federal Buildings in Washington from having to follow Section 104.  However, Congress should have a review of the proposed plans.  He lies and is delusional.  He said all along the East Wing would not be touched.  There would only be a walkway to connect the Wing to the proposed ballroom.  Then without any warning, he decides to demolish the entire East Wing.  The AIA and this committee should be on record as being opposed to the demolition.  If 7 million people can physically demonstrate against the president's actions and policies, why can't the AIA make a stand?
