Dear Knowledge Leaders,
Our latest meeting of the AIA Governance Task Force on 25 August 2025 reconfirmed key definitions, review of roles and responsibilities of nonprofit Boards, and proposed drafty draft models for AIA governance from individual Task Force members before our in-person meeting in DC at AIA's Global Campus / Headquarters at 1735 New York Ave. NW. A key concern for me was lack of understanding by many about what the 21 Knowledge Communities and Board Knowledge Committee (BoKnoCo) do or achieve, through which 58% of our 100,000 membership are active in AIA. Meanwhile other key Committees, Council and members are redesigning their own governance and ops, let's all work together to make a unified and effective AIA!
