    Posted 04-07-2026 01:08 PM

Federal funding of $1 billion is now available for the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program, which helps states, local governments, territories and tribes build preparedness projects to harden against natural hazards like fires, floods, earthquakes and hurricanes. The full Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is published on grants.gov at https://grants.gov/search-results-detail/361620. Funding prioritizes shovel-ready construction projects and incentivizes adoption of the latest hazard-resistant building codes. The application deadline is July 23, 2026. For more information, see Evaluation Criteria for the BRIC National Competition for FY24-25.
