In this new role, Kathleen will drive AIA’s volunteer engagement strategy and strengthen the governance systems that enable member leaders to advance the Institute’s mission and strategic priorities. Serving as a key connector across boards, committees, and staff teams, Kathleen will ensure volunteers are effectively supported, recognized, and empowered to deliver meaningful impact. She will lead efforts to align governance practices with organizational strategy, improve committee operations, enhance collaboration across departments, and build scalable resources and training that support high‑performing volunteer leadership across the Institute.
