Interior Architecture

I'm registered/licensed in three states currently.  I recently was contacted by a friend from years back about the possibility of providing his organization with some interior design services in his state, in which I am not registered/licensed to practice architecture. 

So the question arises - Is it acceptable for an Architect to perform Interior Design services in a state in which he/she is not licensed to practice Architecture?  Do the state boards accept (or perhaps define) this distinction?  We all know that it can get somewhat blurry in where one stops and the other starts...

Any thoughts, insight, past experiences? Thanks all.

the answer to your question about proforming interior deisgn services in another state is fairly straight forward. 

does the state regulate intrior designers with either a title act or a practice act? if no, then anyone offer interior design services. if yes, then you have to determine if you meet those requirements. Title act, as the name implyies, defines who can call themsleve an intreior designer. Practice act defines who can perform interor design services. often architects are exempt from the limitations of an interior design practice act. that may mean getting your architectural license through reciprocity, often that process is not as hard as people think.
