The current VA COdes are 2006 IBC, IMC, IPC with VA amendments and 2002 NEC also with VA amanedments. I recently completed a project in VA (I am also licensed there) and my involvement with the Dept of Housing & Community Development confirmed that the State has pushed the approval dates from Sept 2010 all the way to March 2011; which is now the assumed date for 2009 IBC approval with a 3 month adoption clause within the industry. The confusion on Google was based on the prior approval dates.
