Under the request of H.E. President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the President of Algeria, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning just issued a call for Proposals for a series of seven hundred bed hospitals to be built in Algiers, Tizi-Ouzou, Constantine, Oran, and Ouargla.  This tender is specifically directed at foreign companies who have substantial experience in this field.  The proposal must be timely and the Government of Algeria wants to start construction in January 2014.  These huge units will be large training hospital (university hospitals) with management, teaching and training standards according to international norms.  The Government of Algeria is seeking a company with expertise in the design and build sector who has experience in hospital construction.  Separate tenders will be issued for the management of the news hospitals, medical equipment and training modules.  The deadline to apply for the tender is October 30, 2013, and the tender details should be picked up at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.  To read more about this ambitious project, please visit this link: http://www.aps.dz/Construction-work-of-5-university.html
