Setting Energy Use Targets with ENERGY STAR®

1 HSW and SD AIA Learning Unit

    February 15, 2012, at 2P.M. EST

Join EPA's no-cost Web conference, Setting Energy Use Targets with ENERGY STAR, Responding to the Climate Change Imperative, and earn AIA learning units for Health Safety & Welfare (HSW) and Sustainable Design (SD).

Also, find out how the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) online Target Finder tool can help you determine if your projects meet 2030 fossil fuel energy reduction goals. Target Finder provides whole-building energy use targets and a score for the relative efficiency of the intended energy use for commercial building design projects, which indicates if designs could ultimately qualify for ENERGY STAR.

The EPA energy performance scale is supported by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, AIA, ASHRAE, USGBC, Architecture 2030, and many state and local governments.

Take the ENERGY STAR Challenge, and Be Recognized by EPA at the AIA National Convention

    • Use Target Finder and determine if your design project receives an EPA energy rating of 75 or higher.
    • Achieve Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR.
    • Be showcased in the ENERGY STAR Gallery at the 2012 AIA Convention in Washington, DC.
    • Visit ENERGY STAR Challenge: Architects for details.
