As James points outs and Richard affirms, buildings are not sustainable only methodologies and processes. I agree that the discussion of sustainable practices should continue and develop and that we should be encouraging our clients, and our staff, to truly understand what that terms means. However, when you hear someone say that their building or their design is sustainable ask them how they have been able to achieve something that no one else ever has. You will either get a 'deer in the headlights' look or one of honest consideration of the thought. Which one would you prefer to work with?
