We looked into these when our T-610 printer died last month, and were told that the T-120 and similar price points by others were basically "throw-away" printers and could not be repaired if they had problems.  You may want to contact your plotter repair people and ask them for a recommendation.  We ended up purchasing a reconditioned T-520 for not much more money and are very happy with it.

I bought a HP Designjet T920 18 months ago, and have had nothing but
problems with it, including the printer head going bad.

I would not recommend this machine.

We've had an HP T520 for a little over a year. Prints very fast on best quality setting. It's great for renderings and will give you a warning if ink is low or needs replacement. You can replace ink in the middle of a print without losing the print job. I use the remote print often. Hope this helps.

We have had our HP T-120 for six years and it has been perfect. No crashes or repairs. Image quality and speed are very good. Don't know about the Canon but this one has been fantastic for us.

We just got a new T120 at my workplace a few weeks ago, and it seems to be generally well functioning and decent.  The consumables for it are reportedly less expensive, particularly with 3rd party options.  I haven't printed lots of things on it yet, but what I have printed is fine, and it prints reasonably quickly.

I also understand that the Canon is a much larger piece of equipment in terms of its footprint.  The T120 we have set up on a countertop, and that seems to be workable for us.  The Canon might not have fit in the same space, and I think that was part of the final decision.

There were some initial struggles to get it connected to the office network (preferring not to use the wireless setup. You can only do one or the other; it won't allow both options at the same time), but that might be more of a commentary on the state of the office network.

We've owned a Canon ipF610 (the predecessor to the one on your list) for about 10 years. It's been largely troublefree, aside from the usual maintenance expenses of tanks and printheads. Good quality prints & reasonably fast.

We had HP for years and switched to the Cannon iPF780.
I think the Cannon is far superior.
On another note along the same lines, a 36" wide printer can also load a 24" roll.  When you have a large job and printing 24x36 the 36" wide printing comes out faster.

I've <g class="gr_ gr_28 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del" id="28" data-gr-id="28">hay</g> an HP t120 for almost 5 years, zero problems until I tried to use a generic cartridge, then it broke the printhead, but the replacement for the printhead and the overall diagnosis process was easy, I did it myself, the only problems I have with this one is that if one cartridge is empty it won't print at all.
That's why I tried the generic cartridges or refills to save some money but didn't work.
BTW it is fast, excellent quality and from day one I never had <g class="gr_ gr_383 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="383" data-gr-id="383">misalignment</g> of paper or some other issues I see on other printers.
