     lennox Crestline gas fireplace noise

    sort of a roaring sound.

    have nut had this problem with other logsets.
    unit came with proprietary logset

    The website promises a "gorgeous, roaring fire." http://www.lennoxhearthproducts.com/products/fireplaces/crestline/
    Perhaps they are being truthful?

    Outside of the promised sound, the things that come to mind are:  is the gas orifice the proper one for the gas source (LP vs natural gas)? Have the gas utility supplier and the installer confirmed proper gas pressure?

    Since I am in the process of looking at gas fireplaces for a client, I went to look at this one on line. In their solicitation comments they talk about the sound of a "roaring fire." So maybe what you are hearing you are supposed to hear. It would be nice if it had a volume control!!
