I Have a blog in addition to my website on wordpress.com and have been posting regularly.  I am wondering if others have used this tool as a way of soft sell marketing?  I love to write and share my excitement for architecture and have also seen it as a way for potential clients to get to know me.  I am using wordpress.com and am considering switching to wordpress.org.  I have read and understand the differences but not sure how those differences affect what I am trying to achieve.  Any thoughts?  by the way the blog can be found at http://saxonsangles.wordpress.com/

Hi Saxon, I like your website; very interesting, informative and great images.  I am going to post a link to your current post on Twitter.  It would be great if you could add some social media buttons for sharing to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. (or maybe they're there already? if so, I missed them).

Keep up the great blog posts!

    Saxon,

I also share my thoughts on my website.  But I also make sure to post it to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

It definately gets me some exposure.  My website is undergoing a little change but I think that it helps people get a little understanding of who you are and your thought process.

    Saxon,

We've corresponded privately about this, but last week I received my first call for my services because of my blog. Something I wrote about was explaining an issue which this person was facing. He called me because he felt I knew a lot about the subject and he was in my general region. I guess it can happen.
