Ownersip has decided to hire an in-house Fl. Registered Architect to complete the Second phase of a Hotel project. This phase will include revisions to the original documents including Engineering coordination. The First phase is under construction and there is some overlapping in the work.In other words, we were paid for the first phase and there may be some RFI's related to that first phase .
I have not experienced this situation before and wonder what type of written release document I should request from Ownership to protect our Firm's Liabilty and limit the responsabilities.
Ownership requested that I remain available for consultation, but I do not feel comfortable with a relationship where the risk may exceed the gain.
I will also contact our Insurance agent for his recomendations related to the insurance coverage.
