Can anyone comment on how Vectorworks performs on a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.8, Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB memory for general drafting, construction drawings, 3D for small residential projects? Is it faster than AutoCAD LT using Parallels for drafting and CD's?

I have been using Vectorworks on a MacBook Pro with 8 Gig of RAM. It works well for me, with a mix of project types and sizes. I recommend a large display when used in a stationary location, but the notebook display plays well on the road. I assume that you are familiar with the capabilities of the software, which is powerful, if sometimes inelegant. I can recommend this combination of hardware-software. I offers a good balance of cost and capabilities. I cannot compare it to AutoCad LT, but I find VW particularly facile in drawing set management in my one-person practice. It produces attractive presentations and good CDs.
