I am currently working with a developer who prefers to use ConsensusDOCS contracts in place of the AIA Documents.  Does anyone have experience or concerns about using the ConsensusDOCS?

    Thank you

The so called "consensus documents" are NOT the consensus of anyone in the industry except AGC. They are AGc's trump card to the AIA 2007 documents. To my knowledge, as a member of AIA Documents Committee in that developed the AIA 2007 Documents, including our committee meeting with AGC, they never reached consensus with anyone. We did but without much cooperation from AGC. I encourage you to use the AIA Documents and if the project is residential or small commercial look into the B105. Good luck!
