When i started my own firm almost 8 years ago we got Quickbooks. My wife learned how to use it in a fairly short time. She does not have an accounting background but does have a college degree and is very determined. I find the reports she generates very helpful. I would liken Quickbooks to Autocad. We can debate about what is best but at some point, popularity is really a key factor. I suggest you make sure your accountant is familiar with it (the firm will certainly but it is important the person you are dealing with on a daily basis is knowledgable).
