I am looking for an inexpensive computer program that will modify drawings created in AutoCad Lt to have them appear as hand-drawn sketches.  Does anyone have a recommendation for me?
    Thanks.

    Susan:

If you have an Autodesk Subscription you can get Autodesk Impression. It's a great program for doing exactly what you're looking for and it has a lot of options and flexibility. You can also add color and texture to spaces as wall as text. You can download the demo and use it for 30 days. Go to the Autodesk website and search for Autodesk Impression.

Do a search on Photosketcher.  Free program.  Not sure if it will use a .dwg directly, or if you must port it out to some other image type.  Just one possibility.

I've been going through the same thing.  So far I've come up with two options:  If you only need it for one or two projects in the immediate future, you can download the thirty day trial of Autodesk Impression and use that, but as you are on AutoCad LT you will not be able to purchase a full license--it is only available to full AutoCad subcription members.  The second option is to import your drawing into Sketchup and manipulate the Styles until you get the line styles that you want.  Line weight is an issue with this approach, as Sketchup treats everything the same.
I am looking into the latter approach then importing the PDF file into Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for color/rendering.  I'll let you know how that goes, but if anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear them.  I am also on LT and thought I could finish my renderings in thirty days with Impression, but failed and am now out of luck.  I can't justify the $4k pricetag for full AutoCad at this point.

Don't know if it works with Autocad (likely) but you might take a look at Squiggle - http://www.aay.com/squiggle.htm

You can open up autocad files in SketchUp and use one of the various "styles" to get a sketch character and then print.

    Susan,

Have you tried "Sketch Up"? You can do this with that program. They have a free version you can try.
