    Thomas, yes.  The only painful line you left out was "You want how much for this?  I could have drawn that."  Is there a way community involvement can ever help us educate the public and put a better spin on our talents?

    sometimes it works! I just got a retainer from a client to prepare a schematic design for a proposed revision to a building she inherited that I did over 30 years ago. No question about the amount.
