I am an executive director in association management with over 20 years in the nonprofit sector. I have experience several areas related to business leadership and development, public and government relations, communications, staff and financial management.
I am proud to be the chief advocate for the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter (AIA Iowa). The Chapter is focused on serving its membership by being the voice of the profession of architecture, promoting the value of good design, and advocating for the health and safety of the public. In this role I emphasize in board relations, government affairs, budget and financial oversight, and carry out the Chapter’s strategic plan. In addition, I am liaison to several committees and task forces.
Colleagues know me as a leader in association management who is highly organized with the ability to manage multiple programs and events simultaneously. I am truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others and mentor those new to the nonprofit and association management community.
