This year has seen many accomplishments for the Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) members. The AAH Board's focus on strategic planning will help us continue to provide the educational activities and networking opportunities that you told us were important.
Thank you to those who responded to our member survey! We hope to take your direction and continue to improve on your behalf. Our Summer Leadership Summit, in collaboration with ACHA, provided an additional chance to learn and meet others. Highlights of this conference were our design awards, which continue to gain recognition in our industry; our Next Generation and U40 young professionals who showed an impressive level of enthusiasm and expertise; and the wide spectrum of speakers eager to share.
The AAH plays a leadership role in the organization of both the ASHE PDC and Healthcare Design conferences. We know these conventions are important to you and our role supports the programs and assists in maintaining relevance of the topics.
The Facilities Guidelines Institute has just completed its public comment period on its way to producing the 2018 Guidelines. Watch for more opportunities to share your comments on the the proposed changes. The partnership with Healthcare Design magazine published articles, columns and blogs written by AAH members. Your continued utilization of our webinar offerings, comments on topics we ask you about and offers to volunteer are greatly appreciated.
Thank you, members of AAH, for a very good year.
Sincerely,

Rebecca Lewis, FAIA, FACHA
