The Interfaith Forum on Religion Art and Architecture, an AIA Knowledge Community (IFRAA), in conjunction with AIA Minnesota is proud to present the Artful Presence Conference concurrent with the AIA Minnesota annual convention. This Conference within the Convention, will explore the close interconnection of Art and Architecture and the technologies that allow this to happen. 12 speakers from across the country will combine their insights into a day and a half long discussion. The sessions are titled; The Artful Presence; The Marriage of Tradition and Innovation in Worship; The Light of Worship; and The Sound of Worship. All will build on the theme of Beyond Convention by briefly exploring the past while anticipating future change and challenge. The Artful Presence Conference will conclude with 2 special activities that celebrate the tremendous impact that the Minnesota region has had in the advancement of religious architecture.
