Architecture for Health Visiting Lecture Series

About the lecture series: The Architecture-for-Health Lecture Series are made possible by the generous support of former students Ronald L. Skaggs, chairman emeritus, and Joseph G. Sprague, principal and senior vice president, both of HKS Inc.

Each long semester, the lecture series addresses important topical themes related to major issues and trends, both domestic and international, in health facility design.  Past lecture themes have included:

  • Issues and Trends in the Design of Children's Health & Hospital Facilities;
  • Problems, Pitfalls and Opportunities in an International Architecture for Health Practice;
  • China: Toward Improved Health Care and Health Facilities;
  • Innovative Architectural Solutions for Delivering Healthcare to the Uninsured and Underinsured; and
  • Leadership in Navigating Through Turbulent Times.
