This webinar will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Intensive Care Unit planning and design. It will provide a brief overview of the history and evolution of the ICU and outline current design drivers. Typical user needs and basic program requirements will be reviewed along with a summary of guidelines that drive space planning. Selected projects will illustrate principles of ICU design and how different models of care can shape designs. A deep-dive case study will outline one project's approach to an ICU renovation.
