Regional and Urban Design Committee
An RFQ for Changing Course, a paid design competition aimed at creating innovative solutions for the Lower Mississippi River Delta, was issued last week by its Leadership Team of key local and national stakeholders. The Changing Course competition, with the support of the State of Louisiana and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, seeks to develop approaches that demonstrate use of the Mississippi River’s water and sediment to maximize rebuilding of Delta wetlands while meeting the needs of navigation, flood protection and coastal industries and communities. Changing Course invites teams of engineers, coastal scientists, planners, and designers to respond to the RFQ, due October 25, 2013.
