We have been using Newforma for many years. It was originally purchased for email filing purposes as well as CA work. Our use for CA has dropped off as many of our GCs are giving us access to Procore or other tools. As long as we keep a record of the information in the GC-provided tool, we have seen little need to do double-entry into Newforma. With the cost of Newforma going up, we're looking at alternatives, especially for email filing since that isn't being handled by the GC-provided tool. I've been looking at utilizing CMAP Mail, which will allow us to capture e-mail communications, but will eliminate pretty much all other functionality Newforma offers.
Are there others out there using CMAP Mail to capture project communications? How has it worked for you?
