As members of Congress return home for the August recess through Labor Day, we need your help! Please, reach out to them to request co-sponsorship of the Historic Tax Credit Growth and Opportunity (HTC-GO) Act 🗣️ Let's make our voices heard!
Advocates, this is your chance to make a difference! Contact or meet with legislators, organize local HTC project tours and share the challenges faced in historic rehabilitation. Show them how proposed improvements to the federal HTC will bring more value and make it easier to use.

3. Search local and political events or join a local political party's email list to learn about events your Members of Congress might be attending;
4. Invite your Members of Congress to tour successful historic preservation projects;
5. Email Jaelon Moaney to receive the schedulers' email addresses for your Members of Congress and for additional assistance in making your request; and
6. Check to see if your Members of Congress have already cosponsored HTC-GO:

- "Now is the time to strengthen the Historic Tax Credit to address the slowdown and challenges in rehabilitation projects across the country."
- "Would you please cosponsor House Bill H.R. 1785/Senate Bill S. 639-The Historic Tax Credit Growth and Opportunity Act (HTC-GO) and work to include these provisions in year-end legislation?"
