Hello CRAN Community,
My name is Enebish Enkhbayar. I am a Mongolian architect currently studying and living in Illinois, USA.
While studying, I have had the opportunity to observe and learn from small residential and service building projects through practical research and site exposure. I am interested in deepening my understanding of U.S. residential architecture, including design approach, construction culture, and codes.
My long-term goal is to apply this experience to improve housing quality in Mongolia, where residential design is evolving from a nomadic tradition to a settled urban lifestyle.
My question is: What are appropriate ways for an international architect to continue learning about U.S. residential practice through observation, research, or professional engagement, while remaining respectful of local regulations and professional norms?
Thank you very much for your guidance.
