    Design & Construction Trade Mission to Southeast Asia

    March 24 - 28th, 2025

    In order to enhance participation, the United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), has rescheduled the Design and Construction Trade Mission to the Southeast Asia region to March 24-28, 2025.

    The key reasons why ITA is organizing this Design and Construction Trade Mission to Southeast Asia as an opportunity for U.S. firms is due to the region's rapid urbanization and economic growth, driving extensive infrastructure development, high demand for residential and commercial projects.

    The Trade Mission will accept design and construction companies with products and services identified as best prospects in each country, including the following subsectors: (1) planning and design;
    (2) construction safety; (3) green, low carbon, and energy efficient building materials; (4) retrofitting and refurbishment; (5) construction robotics and automation; (6) AI, digitalization and applications; (7) modular integrated construction (MiC); (8) recycling, circular economy; (9) GHG emission reduction solutions, environmental protection technologies, BIM; and (10) building standards (such as WELL and LEED) – all in high demand in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

    Compelling Reasons to Do Business in Southeast Asia

    • Market Conditions: Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam have commitments to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and experience shortages of construction workers, causing delays, accidents, and cost inflation.
    • Mission Benefits: Participants will have the opportunity to gain market insights, establish industry contacts, interact with government agencies, solidify business strategies, and advance specific projects in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
    • Networking and Business Opportunities: The mission includes group interactions with government agencies and leading trade associations, and potentially customized one-on-one business appointments with pre-screened potential agents, distributors, partners, and buyers.
