Does anyone know if the arch would be taller than the Washington Monument? If not, then I do not understand what the objections are based on.  The Washington Post stated that this would be taller than the Paris Arch de Triomphe but that is an ill-formulated criticism.  What we should focus on is what is the current urban design plan for Washington DC and whether this arch fits (or not) that urban design plan.

The Washington monument is 555 feet tall.
the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is 162 feet tall.

the ARCH of Trump is proposed to be 250 feet tall.
    do the math.

The location proposed will obstruct the sight line between Arlington Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial, which was purposely designed as a symbolic connection.

I think he should be finding someone to design something more appropriate like the Trump Prison Cell instead trying to deface Washington D.C.

Enough was enough a year ago with regards to the nation's architectural heritage, with several heresies in between, but this...this...is a __________(fill in the blank).
